We have the final information about time and location from Captain Peterson of the Biloxi Police Department.

The Klan is marching at 1 PM (1300) and 1st SGT Harrison and I will be present by 11:45 AM (1145). We ask that we gather AT NOON which gives us at least an hour to organize, share handouts, answer questions, meet each other, and deal with the press.

As soon as a spare flagpole arrives the Terrell's banner (blue and white St. Andrew's cross) we borrowed from Co. C in Los Angeles will be flying to note the rallying point.

At the present time, I am awaiting a telephone call from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution to be interviewed for an article to be written tomorrow and published in the Wednesday edition. I have put "on-hold" a request for an interview by the local Black radio station.

If we make the AJC it is likely that that could be picked up by the wire services and spur the major news services to be present Saturday.

We ask that you note that this is OUR opportunity to deal with the press in the manner our opponents have used for so long. We must limit their access to the rank and file upon whom they normally prey using tactics to provoke responses out of anger or frustration.

We have great faith in all of you who are choosing to join us. We ask that you maintain proper Southern dignity, decorum, and honor at all times. Despite possible provocation from bystanders or the Klan we ask that you refrain from responding either by word or gesture.

Just remember: "Never wrestle with a pig - all that happens is that you get dirty and the pig loves it."

If you are approached by the press please feel free to express why you are here and your disapproval of the Klan's misuse of Confederate symbols. DO NOT let them provoke you to anger and maintain your Southern dignity and honor at all times.

If the press has any other questions please direct them to speak to either Jeff Davis, 1st SGT Harrison, or me. We all have prior experience dealing with these folks and Mr. Davis is actually a former television journalist. We know the nature of the beast.

It is time for us to work smarter AND harder!

We have been advised that Captain Peterson recommends gathering at the Vieux Marche Mall in the parking lot nearby the "Upstairs/Downstairs" club. This is public (city) parking and a public gathering spot so there is no chance that property owners might object to our presence and disrupt things.

The directions to the site are as follows:

Take I-10 to I-110 South (exit 46)

Go South on I-110 and take the Highway 90 East (Ocean Springs) exit

Position yourself in the left-hand lane of Highway 90 East (Beau Rivage Casino will be on your right)

Take Rue Magnolia to the left (North)

Go about three blocks until Rue Magnolia intersects with Howard Avenue and turn right

Look for 785 Howard Avenue (Vieux Marche Mall)

Park in the parking lot near the "Upstairs/Downstairs" club

Before the Klan passes we will proudly fly ALL our flags, deal with the press, offer handouts (to be provided), display the banners y'all may bring (we suggest such phrases as "KKK IS NOT THE CSA" or the like), and speak respectfully with passersby.

When the Klan marches up (we will post a sentry to note their approach) I will offer the call to attention (for uniformed attendees) and then an "About face" and we will turn our backs silently on the Klan and continue proudly flying our flags.

Since the "Grand Kleagle" (can anyone keep from laughing at that title?) of the Mississippi White Knights of the KKK has sent a note that he is looking forward to seeing us, let us not disappoint him.

If you have any problems on Saturday please feel free to call me on my cell phone (228-326-0449) starting at 7 AM (0700) that morning.

Following the event Jeff Davis, 1st SGT Harrison and I will be reestablishing headquarters at the Treasure Bay Casino upstairs Brewpub. It is casual, large enough to seat more than a few of the hardcore, has excellent on-site brewed beers and root beer as well as good "bar grub."

Treasure Bay is to the West of our gathering site on Highway 90. You cannot miss it since it is a HUGE pirate's ship.

This is just the beginning opportunity of something vitally important to be announced by Jeff Davis - The International Association for Restoration of Confederate History
