| The Confederate brass Sharps rifle was a .54 caliber (13.7 mm) breech-loading precussion rifle with the trigger-guard swinging down to drop the breechblock, open the chamber, allow the insertion of a paper cartridge with lead bullet, and close the breechblock. The hammer is manually cocked and a percussion cap is manually placed. The stock and forearm are made of walnut. It should be made available in blued, browned or nickel-plated. I will pay $65 each in lots of 25 for blued or browned, $70 for nickel-plated. |
